'Tales from the Orchard' with Achievement Bute
We are delighted to work alongside Achievement Bute on the 'Tales from the Orchard' programme.
Earlier this year we worked with Achievement Bute to deliver a project at Mount Stuart's Community Orchard in order to produce an illustrated map of the orchard with an accompanying interactive children’s game. Due to Covid-19 our planned activities at the orchard have been put on hold. So instead, Achievement Bute are creating a book, Tales from the Orchard, illustrated by Ruth Slater.
Over the coming weeks Achievement Bute will post Ruth’s pictures of all the apple characters on their website, inviting children to join the competition to write us a short story or poem about each one. The map will then be printed alongside the best stories and poems, and everyone who contributed will be invited to take part in a celebration once it is safe to do so.
